At 16 years old, Scott was introduced to fine arts by Barbara Baldwin, a former commercial artist and portrait painter from New York City.
Since 1976, Scott has designed commercial art and award winning fine art. A graduate of Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Scott holds a Masters Degree in Business Management and Industry. He worked a number of years for Lucent Technologies in their Learning and Performance Center, first as a Training Specialist and later as a Curriculum Manager for Software Education. Scott applied his design skills for illustrated course manuals, technical drawings and eye-catching PowerPoint presentations earning him a Summit Award in 2000.
When computer aided graphics, and the internet gained popularity, Scott returned to school to become a master digital multimedia and web designer. |
The same
design school that refined his skills also offered him a teachers position after
graduation. He eagerly accepted and taught real-world digital communications
for five years, earning him the highest student rating out of several campuses.
In 2007 Scott became a marketing director for a sports complex in southern New Hampshire.
Sometimes its healthier to have fewer people in the design process, but it turned out to be a rich experience. The bigger challenge was being true to the elements and principles that underline all great design. In a fast paced business environment, that's not so easy.
In 2010 Scott decided to go forward as a freelance web developer/graphic designer full time. He also shoots Digital Photography, and works as a graphic designer for a local public cable network.
